Tulang Melintang

Performance
Tulang Melintang is part of a collaborative project with eight other performance artists titled AriAriKuraKuraMataMata, a performance work that delves into the shifting landscape of Jakarta’s coastline—shaped by rising sea levels, sinking land, and the expansiveness of urban development.
In this performance, I collaborated with a dried bamboo tree found in Nyamuk Island, a small island in Kepulauan Seribu, Jakarta during our two days field research. This bamboo, along with decorative waste, that has sailed in unpredictable time and distance in a vast ocean becomes a metaphor of how More-Than-Human entities collaborate and intertwine with each other in an anthropocentric world.
