Public Intervention, Installation,
Video Performance
This Project tries to imagine the mutual relationship between the residents of the city of Koganecho, Yokohama and the Ooka river as fellow entities in the city’s ecosystem. In the process, this project invited several people who have cultural memories about the Ooka river in a Focus Group Discussion to imagine or recall their relationship with the river. The results or conclusions of the FGD were condensed into a message which was then conveyed back to the wider public of Koganecho, Yokohama through Morse code audio as a performance work and installation in a public space.
This project is the result of a three-month online residency organized by Koganecho Bazaar Art Management in July – September 2021.
