Performance
This performance would like to trace back the life and works of Raden Saleh to offer new perspective about how historical narration relates to situations in modern times. This narration often drowns in a complicated urban landscape or even appears on the surface, being equal to its surroundings. His last house in Bogor is currently being used as tax office, and this is certainly one of the essential elements that contributes directly to urban planning. Now, it seems that his former residence and the history within are drowning in the sea of urban narration that keeps expanding. Meanwhile, on the same landscape, his final resting place remains an important place among the society, accompanying the life and times of the legendary painter. The last moment, where his body was carried from his house to his grave in Bogor, becomes a bridge between the drowning narration and its reappearance today.
